Next CLK:New Info

Along with the latest spy photos, new details on the next-generation CLK have appeared today on www.autoexpress.co.uk. We learn that the 2010 CLK will use a modified C-Klasse technical platform, that will be combined with an impressive engine range. The petrol units will consist of V6 and V8 engines, developing 300, 354 and 428 BHP. The top-of-the-range 428 BHP V8 will feature twin turbocharging technology. The diesel fans will be able to choose between a 2.0 litres 4-cylinders 204 BHP unit and a 3.0 litres V6 252 BHP engine. The future CLK 63 AMG will continue to use the current 481 BHP naturally aspirated V8, whereas insiders suggest that a potent Black Series version of the model could also be offered. A possible CLK 63 BS would be capable of achieving a staggering 525 BHP power out of the "standard" V8, transmitted to all 4 wheels of the car. The next CLK will also be offered in 4-wheel traction configuration thanks to the 4MATIC system. The cabrio version of the CLK will most probably arrive in 2010 and it will remain devoted to using a classic cloth top.
