Ron Paul Rides NASCAR For Presidential Race

Ron Paul

The US Presidential race just gets better and better everyday. The two presidential hopefuls Senators Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton are on top of the Democrats list and are still making waves in the news. Democratic candidate John Edwards made headlines as well but not for beating out another candidate in a specific state but for dropping out of the race altogether. For the Republicans youve got their top three candidates Senator John Mccain, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and Governor Mike Huckabee. Aside from the first three Republicans, another presidential hopeful included in the list is Dr. Ron Paul, a 10th term Congressman and physician. When campaigning in an election for this type of position, it helps you if you have some one or preferably, a group, to back you up. I mean, theres nothing wrong in getting a little help from your friends right?

Well, luckily our good old doctor seems to have been able to find a group of people who are dedicated and willing to champion his cause. Now how can this be significant in a NASCAR related blog? Well, thats because the group decided to use NASCAR as the theme for their campaign. Introducing Ron Paul Racing!

Now whats this all about you ask? Well, the group was established in order to collect donations in order to be able to brand and sponsor a top 35 NASCAR car which will carry Dr. Ron Pauls name and his campaign message. Their plan is to have this done before the Daytona 500 starts so that they can have the car included in the race. So far, their web site (ronpaulracing.com) has indicated that they are not collecting any donations at this time but are requesting for pledges of donations.

Its touching when people rally to a candidate and show their support. I just cant get over the image of Dr. Ron Paul lifting the White House with his hands. I cant figure out if hes happy to lift it like a trophy or if he wants to bash it on someones head.
