Phat & Furious @ Mist

So last week, Bryan asked me to join him at Mist for this Phat & Furious thingy at Mist.

I thought to put the car on display for a bit, have a couple of drinks with friends, shoot the shit and leave. Why not right?

Little did I know that there was some voting competition going on and I got entered in without even realizing.

Each week starting from 8th Jan 2010, Phat & Furious will be featuring:

25 awesome-looking cars where it will be displayed at the designated parking spots at Mist Club in which photos of the cars will be taken alongside smokin hawt babes!
Photos will be displayed on this Phat & Furious Group Page. Vote for your best-looking car ONLY once by clicking on the LIKE button on the picture.

Each week, two (2) finalists will be shortlisted based on the highest amount of votes in which they are one step closer to winning the Grand Prize! On the 5th week of the competition, 8 cars will be showcased in Mist Club and the Grand Prize winner will be announced!

?Good news!
5 of ANY modified cars (other than the 4 car clubs involve in each week) can also participate. Come early and have your car park at the designated spots and you are in the run-in to win the Grand Prize!

Yes, its that easy!

Crap. My car is no show car. It doesn't have loud colors, nor does it have fancy stickers. Not many people will notice and appreciate the finer details...

Anyway, fuck that shit. Here are a couple of shot Bryan took that night.

Do you like Ivan's new rim color?

DJ Funkzu's ride.

More shot, visit 'Mist Club - Phat and Fast Rides Night' or you can also check out their Facebook Group page at 'Lollipop presents PHAT & FURIOUS'. More shots there too.

Sneak preview of Joe Yap's (#TV2) Bayside Blue BNR34

Joe use to drive around in a nice maroon RX-8.

He later decided to move on to a wicked kitted 350Z.

On Friday, August 28, 2009, after a Teh Tarik session at Aman Suria, Joe was bitten by the GT-R bug. We had all gone for a drive (The one with the Friday night TT) to Putrajaya and boy was he smitten. I remember him asking me plenty of questions while parked at the side of the road and eventually ending the conversation with him saying, "I think I will get one soon...". I guess he literary meant what he said!

Fast forward a couple of weeks later, Joe Yap has just gotten himself a nice (#TV2) Bayside Blue BNR34. Unfortunately, he had some complications and had to wait for his car to be delivered but according to him, it should be in his hands by next week.

Here are a couple of pictures he put up.

He has already begun to make a list of things he wants done to it. Congratulations Joe! Welcome to the wonderful world of the Nissan GT-R.

The one with the APD opening

APD or Automovite Performance Development had a little opening last Sunday, 31st May 2009.
Some nice cars, BBQ and RM50 for dyno runs on the Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer.

Here are some shots I took...

Eugene's FD3S.

That is one ugly G35.

We weren't the earliest but we got front row seats.

Not long after that, guess what showed up. A CLK DTM! Talk about rare!

This is the real thing. You can clearly see the carbon fiber weave through the paint.

The GTI club showed up too. I was expecting more civilized people but... *shake head* One of these morons showed up flooring the car to get attention. Not to mention one of them had his brakes smoking away. Dumbass!

NOTE: Because a fellow GTI member got sensitive about what I said, I'm making it clear that not everyone in the GTI group behaved like this. Two or three idiots does not make the whole group one.

Edit: It seems the person with the smoking brakes is not affiliated with the GTI club, I mean the car is but the driver isn't, I mean he wasn't invited, I mean.... I really don't know. You should ask the GTI club members...

Then an F430 Spider showed up.

Audi R8 with a busted shaft.

Abflug Supra. About to embark on a 1000hp journey.

M-Spec Nr? Inspected it. Fake.

The infamous Mel-Tune. I wonder if Melvin still owns this car...

CLK DTM after the dyno run.

427.6hp at the rear wheels. Impressive.

I heard it was 351.4hp at the rear wheels.

For those of you who are wondering why the figures are so low, Dyno Dynamics are well known for producing very low figures, which is why it is nicknamed the 'Heartbreaker'. Some say it's one of the most, if not, the most accurate dynamometer.

Getting on the Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer. Didn't exactly break my heart. I was quite impressed actually. =)
Bet you're itching to know the results... *grin*

Here's a video of it...
