YES! Roadster Goes on Sale in America

Available in Europe since 2000, Funke & Will's high-performance YES! Roadster will be available for U.S. sale next year, the company announced today in Chicago. The hand-built German roadster The naturally-aspirated YES! features an Audi-sourced 255-horsepower 3.2 liter V6 engine and six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmissions, and its curvy, scissor-doored body weighs only about 1900 pounds. An optional power upgrade boosts the horsepower rating to 285. High power and low weight are a recipe for high performance--YES reports a 4.8-second 0-60mph run, as well as surprising fuel economy--25.4 mpg for the Roadster 3.2. Want more? The YES! Roadster 3.2 Turbo ups the ante to 355 horses (415 with the power upgrade) and chops over a second off of the 0-60 time. The Roadster 3.2 Turbo is set apart by a rear-wing spoiler that provides additional downforce. The YES!' unique aluminum spaceframe also helps to keep weight down, and a double wishbone suspension at all four corners offers confident performance. Four-piston Brembo brakes with ABS are engineered especially for this car.

Inside, the YES! Roadsters feature a pushbutton start, surprisingly elegant materials and a variety of luxury options, including a Bluetooth-capable hands-free phone, navigation system, air conditioning and heated seats. Of course, the hard-core sports car guys can go without these things as well. Pricing in the U.S. starts at $77,995 for the YES! Roadster 3.2 and $97,995 for the Roadster 3.2 Turbo.
