Four Ford Falcon Utes Special Editions (AU)

"Its mix of innovative supercab design, the availability of a choice of powerful yet efficient six-cylinders, V8 or E-Gas engines, and the option of a manual, floor shift automatic or column shift automatic transmission make the Falcon Ute Australias ultimate ute.

The Special Edition Falcon XR6 Cab Chassis, which has a recommended offer price of $32,990*, was revealed earlier this year at the 2006 Melbourne Motor Show where it generated huge amounts of public interest.

The response to the XR6 Cab Chassis was phenomenal, and public feedback reinforced to us a real desire amongst ute buyers for unique special edition products, said Mr Winslow.

Weve listened to these requests and have delivered an additional three special edition models, each of them designed to give ute buyers more of what they want sporty car-like styling, added features, comfort and versatility.

The first of the special editions is the performance oriented Falcon XR Magnet Ute. Based on the Falcon XR Ute range, the Magnet offers more than $3,500** in added extras over and above the standard Falcon XR Ute equivalent.

Enhancements include XR sports leather seats, a Momo sports steering wheel, 18 alloy wheels and unique Magnet decals.

The Magnet is available on the XR6, XR6 Turbo and XR8 Ute, and the recommended offer price starts at $34,620* for the Falcon XR6 Magnet. The Falcon XR6 Magnet is also available with Fords optional E-Gas dedicated LPG engine.

The second special edition is the Falcon Tradesman Ute, derived from the Falcon XL Cab Chassis.

Just because its a work horse doesnt mean it cant look good, said Mr Winslow.

Stylish 16 one-tonne rated alloys help give the Tradesman Ute a special appearance, while cruise control is a much appreciated driver assist feature. Unique Tradesman decals complete the vehicle.

The Tradesman Ute will provide commercial users with additional work related specification and versatility, as well as a choice of a Ford factory aluminium tray or $1000 cash towards a tray of their choice. Tradesman Ute has a total of $2,840^ worth of extra value, and comes with a recommended offer price of $27,450*.

The third new special edition in the line-up is the Falcon SE Ute.

Based on the Falcon XL Styleside Box, the Falcon SE Ute includes sporty one tonne rated 16 alloys, air-conditioning, cruise control and distinctive SE decals.

In the Barra 190 version, power is supplied by Fords 4.0 litre DOHC Dual Independent Variable Cam Timing (DIVCT) 6 cylinder engine, which delivers 190kW of power @5250rpm and 383Nm of torque @2500rpm.

The Falcon SE Ute has a recommended offer price of $27,875* and comes complete with $3,700*** of extra value specification compared with the XL model.

Falcon Utes are renowned work horses, yet provide a no compromise blend of car-like styling and comfort, said Mr Winslow.

They offer a huge amount of functionality and versatility which make them just as popular for commercial and recreational uses alike.
