SLR, the black arrow

The Mercedes Mclaren SLR is a jointly developed car by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive. Although it's part Mercedes, this car is built in England and it says so too on the tag on the car, "Made in England". At that time, Mercedes-Benz owned 40 percent of the McLaren Group and they set out to produce a memorable supercar. What did they come up with? The SLR, short for Sport, Light, Racing.

5.5-liter handbuilt supercharged V8 engine breathes underneath the carbon fiber hood. Exhaust exit immediately through the sides.

Gull wing doors are such an eye catcher. You know this car means business...

So many vents that look like gills on a great white shark! Trust me, when they say this pumps out 617 HP and 580 LB-FT of torque, they mean it! Feather the throttle and you are already glued to the back of your seat.

370 mm carbon ceramic discs coupled with 8 pot calipers are serious stopping power. Mercedes-Benz claims these discs are fade resistant to 1,200 C.

SLR teases

Yes, yes. To the peeps following me on Twitter, I'm sure you must be up to your necks with anticipation on the SLR I've been twitting about. *laughs*

Alas, I am still not going to release pictures yet... Well, maybe just a little.

Don't worry, keep your panties on. I will put them up soon enough. (^_^)

It has gills...

Press button to decimate all...

F1 blood runs through it's veins.

SLR McLaren Spotted

I was staring out the car window one day and this caught my eyes...

A Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Even the guy walking by stopped to admire it.

A feather on the throttle and it pulled away!

We caught up at the lights and managed to get a better look at it.

Looks like this one is from a showroom nearby. On your right in the picture is probably the showroom the car is from. British Motor Car Distributors, Ltd.
