Mercedes-Benz is currently developing the future range of its SL-Klasse roadster. Alongside the standard version, engineers are also testing the top-of-the-range SL 63 AMG sport variant. Although baring the same "63" particle in the official name, the grumpy roadster will be powered by the new 5.5 liters V8 twinturbo unit, tuned to deliver a massive 571 BHP of maximum output (we foretell that Mercedes-Benz could give us a surprise and rise the power of the new V8 even more-to reach around 590-600 BHP-specially for the new model). The powerplant will most probably work in conjunction with a double-clutch AMG gearbox; power will be transferred to the rear wheels (obviously), whereas the overall dynamics and on-road safety and behaviour will be ensured with the help of dedicated systems, such as the 3-stage ESP.
