Premium car firm, Saab will allow customers to watch their chosen car being produced via webcam, in the comfort of their own home...or office...or even in the park!
In addition, Saab will even let customers pick their car up from the companys Trollhattan factory in Sweden, starting from next year.
With cameras set to be installed next year, Saab wants to put more focus on customer experience. At first, buyers may receive a text message and image showing them major parts of the production process, such as the linkage of platform and body, but Christopher McKinnon, global product manager, said live feeds could be used.
McKinnon is eager to see cars being built to order, rather than building them first and then looking for buyers.
