SPY - 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK AMG
The first sighting of a 2012 SLK AMG test car has happened recently. Photographers managed to grab some shots of what certainly is the pretty well disguised supersport version of the forthcoming generation of the SLK-Klasse, given the juicy double exhuast pipes and the high-diameter wheels. The AMG model will likely be launched around the end of 2011 and will be powered by the new 5.5 liters biturbo V8. Of course, as expected, the engine won't deliver all the 544 BHP of maximum output(standard version), but around 480 BHP. Which is, we have to recognize, a real achievement, that will instantly transform the SLK into a rocket, compared to the current SLK 55 AMG, which hides under its bonnet "just" 360 BHP.
