SPY - 2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Klasse

Mercedes-Benz is intensively testing the second generation of its Compact Sports Tourer; in order to precisely assess the people's reaction to the new model and, thus, carefully trim it to ensure the maximum possible satisfaction to potential customers, some of the B-Klasse test prototypes are currently working as taxis in Stuttgart. As a matter of fact, the German constructor has previously applied an identical marketing strategy when the new E-Klasse T-Modell was undergoing the development phase.

The future generation of the B-Klasse, prone to be launched at the end of 2011, will remain faithful to practicality, as it will retain the current MPV concept. Obviously, the new people carrier from Stuttgart will emphasize a roomy interior with 5 comfortable seats and lots of storage compartments. Rumours are that the new B-Klasse could also be offered in a supersporty AMG version, expected to appear some time in 2011.
