SPY - 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Klasse

Mid-2011 will be the period when Mercedes-Benz takes the wraps off its new-generation ML. Prototypes have been wandering on streets beginning with the second part of 2009, and now, the heavy camo starts to come off. And, for the first time, we can clearly do a thorough analysis of what might still lay under the remaining black tape.

The front end of the new M-Klasse will be an evolution of the current shapes - a large radiator grille and an imposing bumper with generous air intakes are the key words here. Only the headlights seem to have undergone a diet, as their overall dimensions appear to have shrinked a bit, in favour of a more slim, rounded and dynamic form.

The back end will suffer the same treatment as other new models in the portfolio of the German constructor - a bit toned down, in order to counterbalance the front end. The looks of the tail lamps will slightly mimic the design seen on the new E-Klasse models. One important aspect that came to light after some camouflage was peeled off is that, in fact, the future ML will grow in length, judging by the muscular stance of the front section and the elongated boot segment, developed so probably to accomodate a new set of seats.

In conclusion, Larson was very accurate when generating the renderings >> HERE.
