car-evolutioncars TRIVIA: The L701 five years building Opel Blitz reproductions in Mannheim
The L701, which was the predecessor of the famous L3250, was in fact a license-fabricated Opel Blitz. That's the main reason why Mercedes-Benz decided to leave this truck unbranded, as no Three-Pointed Star logo was displayed on its body. The L701 was assembled at the Mannheim plant, whereas the production lasted for 5 years.
