New spy pics of the next gen. E-Klasse appear on the internet
WorldCarFans published today a set of six new spy photos featuring the next gen. E-Klasse Sedan, expected to be released in late 2009 at IAA Frankfurt as a 2010 model. The photos were taken near the Nurburgring Mercedes-Benz protoype testing base. Along the highlights of the new luxury saloon are included the lane assist system, the eye-monitoring system, the traffic sign indication, the road condition sensors and the stability control for crosswinds, camber changes and tire wear. The so-much criticized SBC will be dropped from the features of the 2010 E-Klasse, being replaced by a more conventional braking system which will include technical & safety enhancements, such as brake disc wiping during wet weather and a selective cornering brake control. The engine range will also be updated, including more fuel and eco efficient units:new 4-cylinders inline, V6 and V8 engines are expected. The top of the range E 63 AMG model will benefit from a more grumpy 6.2 litres V8, developing over 500 BHP.
