Italian specialty marque supercar maker will set up dealership network in the United States this year to sell the Huayra
Italian specialty car maker Pagani has officially announced that the Huayra supercar will be headed to the United States later this year.
The automaker said in a statement that it will begin setting up a dealer network in the U.S. in the coming months.
"This automobile is the result of five years of dedicated effort from the Pagani team and we see this [U.S. market entry] as an unprecedented opportunity to continue expanding our vision of the future for the supercar industry," said Horatio Pagani in a press release announcing the move.
This will be the first time Pagani enters the U.S. market as its previous Zonda model was not sold there.
The current Huayra was built to meet U.S. safety regulations.
The Huayra comes with an AMG-sourced 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine doling out 700 bhp (522 kW / 710 PS) and 1000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. That power plant is coupled to an XTRAC seven-speed sequential transmission of just 96 kg (212 lbs) mounted transversely behind the engine. The 0-100 km/h sprint takes 3.3 seconds and top speed is 370 km/h (230 mph).
Pricing for the Huayra is expected to start at around $1,368,800 (1,000,000 / 867,030).
