James Bond opts for Bentley Continental GT in Carte Blanche
While the world�s best-known fictional secret agent James Bond is seen behind the wheels of Aston Martins and BMWs on the silver screen, his transport of choice in books has been a Bentley. Now, top American thriller writer Jeffery Deaver has written the new James Bond book titled Carte Blanche. In the 37th Bond book, the British spy drives a Bentley Continental GT. The best-selling author Jeffery Deaver was spotted in Dubai with the new Bentley Continental GT in white over red, outside the InterContinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City. Jeffery Deaver examined the vehicle on his recent visit to the Emirates, and he said�I�m really excited about being back in Dubai. It is an inspirational and awe-inspiring city and makes a perfect Bond location � especially for a novel that pushes our hero to new extremes.
On the book�s title, Deaver said�In the world of espionage, giving an agent carte blanche on a mission comes with an enormous amount of trust constantly tests both personal and professional judgment.
The James Bond in Ian Fleming�s original novels also used a Bentley. The book Carte Blanche will be published by Hodder & Stoughton on May 26 this year, a few days before the anniversary of Ian Fleming�s birthday, who is the original creator of James Bond.
