Gumpert teases 700bhp tourer

Tornante previewed ahead of its Geneva motor show debut. Actually not that ugly
Gumpert Tornante
You may recall Gumpert recently announced it hooked up with Touring Superleggera to knock out a pretty, fast and estate-shaped supercar.
Well, here it is. And as you can see, it's a lot happier.
Touring Superleggera, those geniuses behind the fantabulous Bentley Shooting Brake concept, has made merry with the elegance' brief issued by Gumpert, as you can see from this teaser.
The Tornante gets gullwing doors, composite body panels over a chrome-molybdenum steel space frame with a carbon-fibre monocoque, and the Apollo's twin-turbo Audi 4.2-litre V8 engine. As in that car, it develops 700bhp, and features a paddle-shift auto box, and a similar double-wishbone suspension setup, obviously modified to accommodate the new bodystyle.
We'll bring you more updates from the show floor on Geneva when it premieres...
