Next SLK to showcase in-car internet system
The latest rumours claim that the new generation of the SLK-Klasse, that will celebrate its official launch in 2011 at Geneva, will be equipped with a new infotainment system, very similar in technology to the advanced myCOMAND car management unit, previewed on the ConceptFASCINATION in 2008. The new system will mark a first for Mercedes-Benz: the in-car internet capability. With the help of the new myCOMAND (if that is the series production name too), customers will be able to surf through web pages and basically keep the whole system updated in real time and improve data transmission and communication.
