Mustang GT500 "code red" with 1000 + horsepower engine


In the Ford booth at the SEMA show in America Shelby and Nelson Racing Engine has been on display their 1000 horsepower Twin-Turbo Mustang GT500 creation dubbed "Code Red". With the collaboration of two years of Shelby and NRE eventually culminated with the prototype visible before you pump out insane horsepower figures also north of 1000 on pump gas only. Under the tent 5.4-liter V-8 features twin Turbonetics 61mm turbocharger uses dual fuel system with two separate tanks for pump and race fuel.

Features GT500 "Code Red" is a 20-inch Alcoa wheels, 6 piston Shelby / Baer calipers, rotors drilled 14-inch, 10-point roll cage, Ron Davis radiator, 9 inch rear-end and Curry McLeod twin-disc clutch.If Shelby American gives go ahead to expect a very limited number of these packages at a cost of about $ 100,000 which does not include the GT500.
