Yes, I messed around with another red Ferrari F430 back then but this time, it was a Spider.
The F430 Spider is the convertible version based on the coup.
Unfortunately, I don't think these are the optional carbon-ceramic discs but the regular cast-iron alloy ones.
To keep the lovely lines of this sexy car, Ferrari engineers found a way of creating a hood that automatically folds away inside the engine bay, despite the car having a mid-mounted engine.
Dubbed "the stunning 20 second mechanical symphony", the whole convertible mechanism is a two-stage folding-action that disappears the roof into a closed storage area between the seating and the engine compartment.
Nice huh.
Here's a short clip of the hood in action. In the drivers seat raising the roof for me is no other than my younger brother, Aaron. You just got to love the sound this car makes. Often imitated, never replicated.
My previous entry, F430.
