Photographers have managed to capture the first spy photos featuring the next generation of the SL-Klasse roadster.
Bound to appear at the 2012 edition of the Paris Motor Show, the R231(internal designation) will continue to boast a very elegant design, combining the curvaceous lines that made it so popular among customers and the new, wedge-design philosophy that was premierly showcased on the new E-Klasse. It is possible that the next SL will retain its overall length, but it may also grow in size;anyway, the spy photos show the same, historical prolonged silhouette. The exterior styling will most obviously borrow elements from the SLS AMG, but also from other Mercedes-Benz models that are to be unveiled in the next years, such the CLS-Klasse(C218) and the SLK-Klasse(R172). It is still too early to talk about an engine range or about the technologycal advances the new SL will feature.
