New Mercedes-Benz Concept Car headed for NAIAS

Gorden Wagener, the Mercedes-Benz chief designer, cited by Autocar, officially stated that the three-pointed star carmaker is about to take the wraps off a new concept car at the upcoming 2010 North American International Auto Show.

Wagener further explains:"We want to elevate our design towards art and if any company can do it Mercedes can.". However, the designer remained mysterious and was not willing to deliver any other information hinting at the new concept, which showcases the future design orientation of the brand. The only thing he added is that the car will be a "pure design concept which is long and exaggerated".

Some say the new prototype will offer a preview for the next generation of the CLS-Klasse, but that's not very certain at the moment. We'll just have to wait and see what Mercedes-Benz has prepared for its fans. Hope it won't be an exaggeration...
