Mercedes GP signs long-term partnership with Petronas
Mercedes GP F1 Team, the former Brawn GP, has recently signed a sponsorship deal with Petronas.
The Malaysian petroleum company withdrew the contract with the outgoing BMW Sauber and also chose not to support financially the newly formed Lotus F1 Racing. Instead, Petronas went for Mercedes GP, which was by far a much more appealing option. The long-term partnership will ensure a trustful source of money for the F1 team, a greater media visibility and public awareness, and, what's more important, stability. Moreover, Petronas will be the main sponsor, which will also result in the heavy display of the company's logo on the single-seater's livery. In addition to these, the team's official title will be, from now on, Mercedes Grand Prix Petronas Formula One Team.
UPDATE:The conflict between Mercedes GP and Henkel was solved today by mutual agreement.
