Dato' Seri Mohd. Najib visits The Warung

This morning, The Warung was closed for a private function. A very big one too...

Dato' Seri Mohd. Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak visited The Warung for a small press conference, to officiate the publishing of his book, 'Menakhoda Zaman' or 'Helming the Times'.

An estimated of 250 people were expected to show up and we had to prepare meals and refreshments. PANIC!

We blocked off for the official function.

We kept getting news "He's coming, he's coming!" and we weren't completely prepared yet. Everyone rushed to put everything in place, especially the VIP table where he was going to sit and have his lunch.

Press and Media started filling in pretty quickly.

Poor mom. She had recently returned from the UK and was still suffering from jet lag. She hardly had a wink of sleep. The next three days Acca Kappa is having the 140 years celebration too so she's going to be so exhausted!

Jo Ann and Sally working on the sandwiches.

"Quick, quick! He's coming. Really coming!"

Our Prime Minister arrives....

More questions on politics were asked than anything else. No one seem to care about the book. The Warung logo looks so good right up front. =P

Here's a short clip...

People poured in.

Makan time!

Mom : What would you like to drink Mr. PM Sir?
Najib : Good 'ole Teh Tarik would be nice!
Mom : Why don't you try the Three Layer Tea or Teh Tiga Lapis. It's very good.
Najib : Why not. Sounds good.
Everyone : "Me too..", " I want one also.", "Saya jugak..."

Najib : Wow, really 'Good Food at Great Prices'! Chinese family running a Malay joint too. Truly 'One Malaysia'.

Already reading reviews and write-ups of his book.

An hour and a half later...

We cleaned up pretty quick huh.

So, there you have it. The Warung was visited by our very own Prime Minister. For 'Good Food at Great Prices', come visit The Warung.

The Warung is located on the first floor of the North Court of Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur, towards the Jusco side.
