How Fiat MultiAir was developed...

Fiat MultiAir technology is one of the advanced engine technologies that Fiat is providing to Chrysler. Fiat's offer to provide this technology, along with its other design expertise, so impressed the US government they gave Fiat its initial 20% stake in Chrysler with nothing more than Fiat's promise to share this technology with Chrysler.

We have discussed this technology in a few previous postings, but with the next few videos, we'll see how MultiAir was developed, its design goals and how it was tested.

The Chrysler 200C EV

MultiAir is a major advancement in the internal combustion engine and Chrysler will be the first car company in the US to offer it to consumers. This, along with striking designs like the Chrysler 200C EV, shows Chrysler products have a promising future.
