Light weight GT-R?

They're calling this project the 'Light weight GT-R' project but to be honest, in my opinion, it's just another GTT with an RB26 and made to look like a GT-R.

The owner wanted an R34 that would be as much fun to drive or drift as a 350Z or Silvia, but yet could still make good down force and horse power and weigh-in a good 500 pounds lighter.

A Red ER34 was purchased from Kaizo Industries, fitted with all GTR body panels to the body prior to shipping. A stock ER34 has steel fenders and hood but GTR fenders and hood are made of aluminum (Carbon if it's the V-Spec II) and the rear quarters are constructed of a lighter weight steel, which dramatically reduces weight.

As with all Kaizo kit cars, an engine and transmission were needed to be purchased so a low mileage R34 RB26 and GTT 5 speed transmission were chucked in. The oil pan of the RB26 had to be fabricated and modified to fit and the front differential removed. Also installed were a pair of Tomei Cams, Oil Pump, Nismo Gaskets, Apex Turbos, Top Mount Oil Filtration, HKS Oil Cooler, AB88 Intercooler, Apex Air Cleaner Intakes, Custom SS Radiator, Power FC, a short throw shifter and ACT clutch.

Also fitted were GTR Brembo Brakes,Volk LMGT4s in 18X9.5, Rear V-Spec CF Diffuser, Adjustable Rear, Upper Control Arms, Nismo Two Way LSD, Full R34 GTR V-Spec II Black Interior, Lowering Springs and the GTR Steering Rack.

This car should put at least 500WHP.

Here is a clip of it on the Streets of Willow burning some rubber.
