Garth Brooks and NASCAR team-up

"These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do. One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you."

After their experience with comedic actor Will Ferrel and pop musical artist Kelly Clarkson, the NASCAR Foundation, an organization which has helped fund a number of charitable institutions, has decided to go country by having Garth Brooks as their celebrity spokesperson for their NASCAR Day activity entitled Five Years of Caring which will be held on May 16. Brooks will appear in print and broadcast ads to help raise funds for the charitable institutions associated with the foundation.

Mike Helton, NASCAR president and NASCAR Foundation board member thinks that getting Brooks was a "mighty fine" move on their end.

"Its an honor to have Garth serve as the face of our 2008 NASCAR Day campaign. We are thrilled to have someone of Garth Brooks magnitude. He will be a great ambassador for NASCAR Fans, NASCAR Day and the NASCAR Foundation."

Let's just hope that NASCAR doesn't decide on having their racers go country as well and have them don cowboy boots.
