Infiniti's all-new 2008 EX35 officially went on sale in the States yesterday. The luxury crossover SUV comes in four different models, including a RWD, RWD Journey, an AWD, and AWD Journey.
The EX35 has an interesting design, looking both classy and forceful at the same time. This new model is meant to combine "the look and feel of a luxury coupe and an SUV's interior flexibility," according to a company press release.
A 297 horsepower 3.5 liter DOHC V6 engine powers the Infiniti EX35. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic, with both Manual Shift Mode and Drive Sport Mode. Assistance is also provided by the Downshift Rev Matching and Adaptive Shift Control systems, to make the ride as smooth as possible.
Cool optional features available include the Around Vehicle Monitor (AVM) which combines four cameras to give the driver an overhead view of the car to assist in parking. Also optional is the Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) system meant to help eliminate possibility of the Infiniti EX35 drifting off the highway. Journey models also come standard with power moonroof, leather-appointed seats, automatic second row seat, auto dimming mirror, HomeLink, front and rear sonar, and automatic headlights.
And in case you have a healthy amount of spare cash lying around, Infiniti vice president and general manager Mark Igo is "pleased to be making the new Infiniti EX35 available just in time for that last-minute holiday shopping."
Base price for the 2008 Infiniti EX35 is listed at $31,300 for the RWD, and $34,850 for the RWD Journey. The EX35 AWD starts at $32,700, with the AWD Journey costing $36,250.
