Andrews, Pappas and Pemberton join Michael Waltrip Racing

Michael Waltrip Racing has recently announced its new additions to the teams crew chief roster. The new crew chiefs to join Michael Waltrip Racing are: Bill Pappas, Paul Andrews, and Ryan Pemberton.

Bill Pappas will be crew chief for Dale Jarretts No. 44 UPS Camry. But Pappas will move to the No. 00 team at Martinsville once David Reutimann takes over the No. 44 UPS Camry. Pappas is a veteran of the Indianapolis 500 before moving to NASCAR. He was Juan Pablo Montoyas crew chief when he won the Indianapolis 500 championship cup. Paul Andrews, was initially with Petty Enterprises before he moved to Michael Waltrip Racing. He will be Michael Waltrips crew chief in the No. 55 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry. Ryan Pemebrton, who came from Dale Earnhardt Racing, will be crew chief for No. 00 Aaron's Toyota Camry for the first five races. After that, he will make a move to the No. 44 UPS team with David Reutimann.

The crew chiefs are looking towards a fruitful racing season with Michael Waltrip Racing. According to Andrews, I am really looking forward to working with Michael again. Last year as the season went on, it was evident that Michael Waltrip Racing was making improvements. There is so much potential here, which is noticeable and that's what attracted me to this team. Good things will happen for this organization because they are continuing to hire quality people. I wanted to come here and help them work their way into the top-35 in points because I know they are capable of doing that.

Ryan Pemberton, echoes the same sentiment as he says, Michael Waltrip Racing is a team that's growing and I want to be a part of that. I have respect for this team because I know how hard it is to start up an organization from scratch. There's a lot to overcome just to make it to the racetrack when you are developing a new program especially of the magnitude they did. I can appreciate all of their hard work and dedication last season.

With these talented crew chiefs on board, Michael Waltrip Racing can look forward to a fruitful season in 2008.
