Despite this prototype's psychedelic look, what you are looking at is the next generation BMW 7-Series testing in Munich. Looking closely at these photos we can now see the most revealing glimpses of the all new styling with a new front grille and a wider and lower hood for a sportier look.
The new 7-Series will feature an 8-speed automatic transmission and the 4x4 xDrive. The gear lever returns to the centre console and we will see a more user friendly information and navigation system.
Engines will range from the 3.0 liter 272hp straight-6, new S65 414hp V8 first introduced in the E92 M3 and we may see a revamped version of the existing 6.0-liter N73 V12 engine.
Set to be launched as a 2009 model, the new 7-Series is likely to make its debut at the 2008 Paris Motor Show or could we be set for a surprise at Geneva?
