Some of your TV highlights from 2010

Hollywood mega celebrities mucking in down at the track, three-wheeled "road trips", taking the blame for a volcano halting Europe's air traffic for weeks, storming youtube with vintage sports saloons: it's been another fun year of cocking about in cars for all of us here in Car Evolution HQ.
So here, in a nice random order, are the moments you clicked upon most on TopGear.com in 2010...
Have a wonderful New Year's Eve, and we'll see you back here next year.

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz
We desperately wanted Jedward to appear. Unfortunately, they didn't return any of our calls, so we were forced into a corner. The phone rang. It was Tom Cruise. He said: Can I star on your show with my friend Cameron Diaz'?
It'll never happen', we chortled over our scampi n' lemon. Then they turned up. And drove rather well...

James causes more Volcano
Car Evolution gets blamed for everything these days. North Korea responds with prejudice to a military drill? It's because we praised a Dacia Duster. Kerry Katona in another reality show? It's because we made a homemade electric car.
This one was a doozy. James, adamant on displaying the sheer righteousness of the Toyota Hilux, took it to the rather fiery volcano in Iceland and survived. He even cooked while he was there. Enough evidence for the subsequent paralysis of Europe's air traffic to be put at the feet of Captain Slow...

Jeremy in a Reliant Robin
Jezza takes on his most audacious and dangerous task ever conceived on Car Evolution: a perilous 14-mile trek in a Reliant Robin. He was upside down most of the time.
Also features Phil Oakey out of the Human League.

F1's Nice Bloke' who nearly got squished by Schumacher comes down to our track to test the old Liana. And then goes faster than The Stig. Stig later burns effigies of Rubens.

With enough torque to tenderise an elephant', Jeremy hit the TG test track to violate the new Audi R8 V10. Was it, however, too good?
He endeavoured to find out as Hammond helpfully popped along with something he liked earlier. Yes, a Porsche 911.

It's no surprise that Richard Hammond enjoys muscle cars. So who better to test the rather outrageous Camaro SS? Why, him of course!
This weapon of mostly-friendly fire from across the pond certainly made a good case for itself...until Europe fired back with its interpretation of muscle. The E63 AMG entered stage-left in a haze of tyre-smoke and clutch, and battle commenced...

James tests the Porsche Boxster Spyder
Take one Porsche Boxster, remove stuff, then hike up the price, and wahey! You've got a Boxster Spyder.
Our resident Captain Slow has been the loyal custodian of a standard Boxster for some centuries, so we strapped him into the lightweight Porker and sent him to the track with strict instructions to nail it'. He was impressed.

The chaps set about finding a trio of classic sports saloons from the 90s capable of whanging around a test track and transporting some burly musicians.
But along the way, they were given some challenges, one of which tested the economy of the sporting musician-transporters. Could the venerable Merc, Ford and Beemer make it across the border to Poland? Here, only on TopGear.com, is the full 10-minute film...

It could have been our names on the Guinness World Records, but a German put paid to that.
James went to VW's test track to test out the new, SuperSport 1,200bhp Veyron. He did a speed run and recorded a whopping v-max of 259.11mph. Excellent! World Record fame awaited him, until...
...a German did another run and went 267mph. Dammit.

Yet another day, yet another HOLLYWOOD SUPERSTAR. Jeff Goldblum, star of two of the highest grossing blockbusters in the world and bona-fide thesp, flew in to sate his incurable desire to go around our track in one single gear and a succession of clutches.
