Video: Porsche 911 GT2 RS on track

Official video promo pits most powerful road-going Porsche ever built against Silverstones corners
Porsche 911 GT2 RS
Contrary to advertisement opinion, winter doesn't hate your face. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS does.
Not because it wants to kill you, mind. Rather, it summons forces of BHP so unnatural, immense and biblical your face is left reeling in perpetual fear.
The latest 911 variant packs 613bhp from a flat-six driving the rear wheels and will accelerate to 62mph in just 3.5secs, 0-124mph in 9.8 secs and runs on to 205mph. Good figures to paper over insecurities' down the pub, not so good for your face.
Still, this hasn't stopped chief Porsche centre driver Gordon Robertson from getting it sideways around Silverstone. In this advert/video - filmed by Porsche with lots of somewhat familiar edits - he extols the virtues of the new GT2 RS. In short, it is good. We know, because Car Evolution's Bill Thomas was on the receiving end of that 613bhp, and as you can read here, he liked it a lot.

Robertson also rearranged our editor's face in a passenger ride on this very track only a few months ago, and he's never looked right since. This is how a GT2 RS should be driven.
