Ralph Lauren�s vintage car inspires his new Sporting Watch

Offering an elegant, athletic sensibility, the new Ralph Lauren Sporting Watch draws inspiration from the renowned designer�s passion for his vintage cars. The RL Sporting Watch, in particular, is inspired by the 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic coupe. The watch flaunts a beautiful outer dial made of elm burl, the wood type you will find on the dash of Lauren�s Bugatti. The matte black galvanic dial on the watch features Arabic numerals for increased readability. The watch�s arrow-shaped hour and minute hands move around an open railroad-like track.

The crown of the RL Sporting Watch has been signed �RL� and on the rear is a sapphire exhibition caseback, which gives a full view of the RL Caliber RL98295 made by IWC. The watch boasts a manually wound movement with 156 components and a power reserve of 45 hours. The decor is Vertical C�tes de Gen�ve and Perlage. The new Ralph Lauren Sporting Watch carries a price tag of $13,200.
