SPY - First clear images showcasing the dashboard of the 2011 CLS-Klasse + further shots

For the first time since this eagerly-awaited Mercedes-Benz model has begun the development phase at the end of 2008, we are pleased to see the first interior images. The dash shapes up nicely, using the one previewed on the Concept Shooting Break as inspirational basis, which isn't anymore a surprise. Interior designers have largely used high-quality materials to fashion up the dashboard: soft, injection-moulded rubber and plastic surfaces, premium level leather upholstery, pure essence wood and, last but not least, carefully-finished metal trims. The 'pices de rsistance' will be the new multifunctional steering wheel, the appealing instrument cluster divided into three separate oval sections and the large slab of wood covering the middle part of the dashboard from one side of the car to the other. The manual control panel of the COMAND system, located on the center console, and the armrest area will come straight from the new E-Klasse. All in all, the final result is a beautifully-sculpted, rounded, but otherwise dynamic and solid-looking dashboard.
