BREAKING NEWS: Button to McLaren for 2010 / Raikkonen on the sidelines for 1 year

Jenson Button, F1 world champion in 2009 with Brawn-Mercedes, has signed a contract with McLaren-Mercedes for the 2010 season.

An all-British, all-champion driver lineup for McLaren in the next season. A truly tough team, but will it be as balanced as expected or will the pride spoil the atmosphere, as it was the case in 2007?Hopefully not, as both Hamilton and Button have gained a lot of experience since their debut in F1 and have tasted the rise & fall.

This outcome was predictable, as Raikkonen's staff and the Woking-based team haven't reached an agreement. It also means the Finnish driver is prone to a sabbatical in 2010, as revealed in an official statement. Don't worry, because Kimi is expected to return in F1 in 2011.

Further details on the Button-McLaren deal will be made official later today.
