The '09 New York motorshow was home to loads of new car debuts like the Mercedes S-Class facelift, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mercedes ML hybrid, Mercedes GL-Class facelift, Kia Koup and the Mazda CX-9 facelift, just to name a few.
With more than 270,000 units sold, the 2010 S-Class sedan has been subtly facelifted with new bumpers, lights and interior. Most importantly, the engine range has changed. While 6 engines remain, out goes the popular entry-level 320 CDI V6 in favour for a larger, more powerful 350 CDI V6. The new diesel engine boasts better fuel economy at 37.2mpg combined, from 34mpg. CO2 emissions have dropped from 220g - 223g/km to 199g - 201g/km. While the S-Class goes on sale in the UK in Summer, the S400 Hybrid won't come to the UK as carbon emissions are slightly lower than the diesel engine (186g/km), which makes the car next to useless when it comes to taxation. In addition, the hybrid would also prove to be more expensive.
German prices start at 73,000 for the entry-level S350 CDI rising to 155,354 for the S600. Order books are now opened.
S350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY - 73,006.50

S400 HYBRID - 85,323
