OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE
Stuttgart, Germany, Dec 03, 2008
The Mercedes-Benz Museum is running a special exhibition called
"We Are World Champions!" until Sunday, 14 December 2008. On every day of the week except Monday, children and young people will be able to have their photograph taken with the very Formula 1 racing car in which Lewis Hamilton won the world title.
"We are obviously delighted to have Lewis' racing car in the Mercedes-Benz Museum," said Michael Bock, General Manager of Mercedes-Benz Museum GmbH. "With the 'We Are World Champions!' exhibition, we want to give younger visitors to the museum the opportunity to play the part of a Formula 1 driver while having their photo taken."
Daily from 12 pm to 4 pm, children and young people aged from 4 to 14 can put on genuine racing suits and have their photograph taken with the world championship winning car at no charge. The photographs can be picked up just a few minutes later. The winning vehicle can be found in the passage between "The Fascination of Technology" and the shop on Level 0 of the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum can be reached easily and conveniently on public transport. Visitors can either take the number 51 bus, which runs between Bad Cannstatt Bahnhof and the "Mercedes-Benz World" bus stop, or the S-Bahn (tram) stopping at "Neckarpark (Mercedes-Benz)". Visitors to the Mercedes-Benz Museum who travel by car can park in the carpark of the Mercedes-Benz Museum or in carpark P4. The address of the Mercedes-Benz Museum is: Mercedesstrasse 100, 70372 Stuttgart. The number of the customer center hotline is +49 (0)711 17 30000.
