Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the HP Pavilion in San Jose

I went to watch the Trans-Siberian Orchestra last night at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. They are just awesome. The music they play is a mix between traditional Christmas songs with classical music and rock, all music I enjoy listening to, which proved to be an interesting fusion between them.

It felt more like a rock concert than anything else and then you notice the orchestra in the back, as well as the vocals and go "Hey, what the...".

There were lasers, bring lights, neons, LEDs, fireworks and pyrotechnics!
It was a boat load of fun and I would recommend them to anyone for a fantastic experience.

Visit their official website at Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Official Site to find out more.

Here's a short clip Augie managed to sneak by the guards.

Here are a couple of clips found on YouTube of some of their most well-known works...

Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12-24 (a rendition of Carol of the Bells, originally featured on Savatage's 1995 album, Dead Winter Dead)

Wizards in Winter

Search them on YouTube and you'll find plenty more clips.

They absolutely rock!
