The long absence...

Forgive me my fellow readers for the long leave of absence...

I've been occupied with what was nicked named, "the boyfriend/man stealer". *laughs*

It's been a very long time since I've allowed myself to indulge this much in video games. This first person shooter developed by Treyarch, published by Activision, has consumed so much of my free time! I've managed to level up to prestige 1, level 36 in a week so you can imagine how much time I've spent on it.

I can clearly see why this game sold more than 7 million copies within 24 hours of release! Pretty cool huh.

If you are a COD: Black Ops player on the PS3 as well, shoot me a msg on the PSN at "LeonardF" and we'll play some 'Domination' matches together! *laughs*

Anyhow, nothing much has happened since. The Nur has been quietly tucked away having not had anything done to her recently. I've just been enjoying the drives of, what my father calls 'the collectables', the yellow F355 and the 911 993 Turbo.

Sadly, I have to be letting the F355 go as there are just too many cars to keep. I wish is was otherwise as it is simply a lovely car. Anyone interested in it, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. A couple of recent additions have been made to the garage recently. I've added another 'Stormtrooper' to the family. Will do a post on that pretty soon.

Fear not, I will start updating the blog regularly, once again! Till then!

TRON: Legacy

I've been waiting to watch this movie since July of 2009, when I first put up a post on it. (Tron Legacy)...

That day has come! Tuesday night, almost a year and a half later, I went to catch a preview of the highly anticipated sequel to Tron, TRON : Legacy, in 3D! Jason Chan (WaLauWei) and I made our way to Berjaya Times Square, GSC Maxx, had some food and refreshments as we anxiously waited to get into the 400 seater theater.

Razer also displayed their TRON Gaming Peripherals. A Keyboard, Mouse and Mousepad in the TRON theme. Cool stuff! More info here.

All lights up too...

After a while, some quizzes and prizes were given away and a pair dressed as the famous french electronic music duo Daft Punk appeared!

Jason Chan was itching to get his hands on the soundtrack by Daft Punk they were giving away as he wasn't able to purchase it in stores yet. Guess what, he got his hands on one! Congrats!

We made our way in at 8.30pm and the theater was huge! Checked in out electronic devices and collected our 3D glasses. These were different. Not the usual ones we get at the other places. These ones were like the glasses you get with the 3D TV's which required to be charged and powered up. Anyway, we realized there were no refreshments so I scurried out to grab some before the movie started.

The movie was awesome! Now, although I thought the story was a bit dry, and it felt a little too rushed (I guess 2 hours and 7 minutes wasn't enough for me!), everything else was just spectacular. You have to watch this in 3D to get the full experience! I'm gonna have to catch this movie again soon!

Verity Super Engine Oil Family Track Day

I got an invitation to go to Sepang with the intention of 'test driving' several cars yesterday. Cars on the list were the Ferrari, Nissan GTR, Mini & Integra DC5. The thought of taking either of those cars around SIC without having to be burdened with the responsibilities after a track session was most intriguing. But let's be realistic here... Who in right mind would let you, an average 'Joe', track these cars around SIC just like that? It was the Verity Super Engine Oil Family Track Day, an event to launch their brand into the malaysian market. Still, I was very skeptical and really wanted to see if it were true...

Saturday morning, I made my way to Sepang with Jason Chan a.k.a WaLauWei. Expecting a little event, I was quite surprised to see so many people! All the usual track addicts were there. Bumped into so many familiar faces...

We made it just in time for their product launch...

So what is Verity? Well, Verity is a product of the Sanwa Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd group, which is a manufacturer of lubricant oils. Having been established since 1947, it's a 60 over year old company.

The word verity actually means - the quality or state of being true or real, which I guess is what their motto for their lubricants are.

"Verity Super Engine Oil is a special blend of engine oil which contains a condensing organic acid derivative called ester and alcohol. Ester is a proven component of synthetic lubricants which can withstand very high temperatures, critical in powering engines made for racing. The Verity series of engine oils also enjoy a distinct advantage over rival products due to its high oxidation stability at high temperatures ensuring better protection of the engine, less likelihood of power drop and longer oil life."

They plan to distribute 15W-50, 10W-40 and 5W-50 oils available in 4, 20 or 200L.

To find out more, visit their company website and click on 'Automotive Lubricants'.

After that, we made our way downstairs and true enough, it was just an open track day. Cars were divided in to groups to be allowed on to the track. Bikers too...

Adrian's Z-Tune replica was there to represent the BNR34's!

This white 360 pitted in after the track took a toll on it. Might have over heated or gearbox locked up...

Of course there were the umbrella girls too...

I got bored after a while and stopped snapping pictures. I really didn't want to track the 10 over year old 550 Maranello that I came in either. I left not long after, stopping a couple of times along the way to say hello and good bye to friends I kept bumping into but fear not, here are a couple pictures from the Advertlets team.

Not short of exotics as you can see... This green R35 was being flagged off to the start of the open track...

Umbrella girls making an appearance...

Plenty of bikers too.

Jennifer looking stunning as usual. She came with her boyfriend Jesson, who is rocking a kitted 360.

Other activities for the family. Clowns were scattered around. There was an area for foot massages, a corner to do manicure...

Rigs from Remus's Motorsport Playground...
